Welcome to the top of Hadrian’s Wall, at Housesteads Fort, Northumberland! =)
It was a truly memorable experience for me and Lisabet, as we tracked alongside this 2,000-year old World Heritage wall, feeling the ancient history on our hands. The English Heritage likes to call this particular section of the wall the Frontier of the Roman Empire. Of course, in reality, there is actually another Roman wall fortification further North into Scotland: Antonine Wall, though this hasn’t fared nearly as well.
